The CFA Level 1 Exam Results have just been released.  Following on from my slightly worried exam-day overview of the 2009 CFA Level 1 Exam, I thought you may be interested to know the result:

Pass mark: 70%

Pass rate: 46%

Result: Pass!!

Feeling: very relieved

You indicate “Pass mark” of 70%. Where do you get that from? Pass mark is not published and changes from year-to-year and test-to-test.

Hi Ron,

Thank you for picking that up. I guess I was using a little bit of poetic licnece here.

I believe that in reality the pass mark is 70% of the top 1% of papers in that particular CFA exam.
